A little stop in Atwater between Merced and Modesto off Hwy99. Across the street is Denny's. I have traveled up and down California's Central Valley and have seen the Almond Tree passing through, but today had the opportunity to try. A more rustic view compared to restaurants like Denny's or iHOP and so it felt a little more close to Mom and Pop diner feel. The wait staff is professional, personable (if you want to chat, they listen and have a conversation if you are as friendly as well) and very attentive to your needs. The Review..... I decided to try the "NEW" Garbage Breakfast consists of : 2 Buttery Biscuits topped with Golden Hashbrowns, then 2 eggs (any style)- scrambled, Country Gravy, with Topping Sprinkled with Thick well done Bacon and sliced Pork Sausage. Let me tell you that Country Gravy was smooth warm with a velvet consistancy. That Bacon cooked to to perfection and those Biscuits had a buttery taste. Everything else compliments the meal. I give the Almond Tree a super official 5 Stars. Let me tell you, not only the service, the food was excellent, they honor Military and Veterans with a discount. Tha k you Almond Tree. I enjoyed dropping by for the experience.
Had dinner tonight. Food was good. But the service provided by the hostess was Great!! Just right attention and space needed for a guest. Wasn’t sure to order soup, she offered a small portion to taste. Offering coffee refills, syrup for pancakes etc. impressed with the cozy friendly service. Definitely recommend this comfy all day breakfast place.
Going to Almond Tree is almost a habit now. They are that good, the food is always tasty and just how I want it. The staff are friendly and attentive. This place has been a favorite spot for many years and it will remain so.

This is essentially a coffe shop with a bar in back. Lots of regulars here, food is good quality and well portioned. The service is the feature here, attentive and friendly. Nothing special, but you won't regret it.
I absolutely love this restaurant! It's one of our favorite places to stop for a meal when we don't feel like cooking. The restaurant side is amazing — the food is always great, and the waitresses are incredibly attentive and kind. We always feel welcomed and well taken care of when we dine here. I will say we haven’t had the best experience on the bar side, but that’s okay — you can’t win them all. Overall, we really enjoy coming here and will definitely keep coming back!
The menu has a great variety, the pricing is just right and the portions are phenomenal. I had a pasta Alfredo which was delicious the sauce was creamy the pasta was perfectly al dente

The food was great!!! Hot !! Our waitress was great also!! Very attentive & funny as well!! We went for lunch. I had a chicken pesto sandwich, husband had the jalapeño burger & his mom had pork chops.
